With a League Title dangling in front of them, Exeter and Kingsburg tied 93-93 in a dual swim meet on Friday, April 13 in Exeter.

As the undefeated Monarchs and the undefeated Vikings entered the final event of a dual Central Sequoia League swim meet, Kingsburg led by 2 points.

The Lady Monarchs needed a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay to boost their score to 93 and the Exeter team of Christy Lewis, Zandra Mitchell, Victoria Whitendale and Tiffany Brummet delivered.

The Exeter relay team took first place in 4:17.03 to beat out Kingsburg's A team who finished close behind in 4:17.64.

Kingsburg's B team took third place in the same event, collecting the final 2 points of the meet and bringing the score to a tie at 93 points.

Kingsburg and Exeter are now tied in first place with Immanuel trailing a safe distance in third place.

The Monarchs started out strong in their home meet against Kingsburg and eventually won six events.

Kingsburg won the 500 free, 200 free relay, the 100 back and the 100 breast while Exeter added 9 points with Sierra Edward's first place dive performance.

Exeter and Kingsburg will face off again in the all-league meet on Friday, May 4 to decide who will take the Central Sequoia League Title.

In the boy's meet, Kingsburg dominated for a 57-112 win over the Monarchs. Exeter took wins in the four events. Nick Jones took first place for Exeter in the 50 free with a 23-43 time.
